What is the Sacrament of Confirmation?
The Sacrament of Confirmation builds on the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, and Holy Communion, completing the process of initiation into the Catholic community. During the Sacrament, the candidate receives the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit-Knowledge, Wisdom, Piety, Understanding, Counsel, Fear of the Lord and Fortitude. With these special gifts, the newly confirmed go forth as witnesses to the world. Middle school is the perfect time to prepare for and receive this sacrament, as these spiritual gifts will support the youth in these important years and for the rest of their lives.

Who may receive the Sacrament of Confirmation?
This year, at St. Catherine of Siena, 2024-2025, 6th grade, along with any not yet confirmed students in 7th and 8th grade will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

When to Enroll?
Registration will begin August 1, 2024. To enroll, please fill out the registration form below and turn in a copy of the student’s Baptismal certificate (if Baptized in a church other than St. Catherine) to the church office, attention Cara Burroughs. The copy may be scanned or a picture may be emailed to [email protected] as well.

What is involved in the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation?
St. Catherine of Siena School Students Grades 6
Preparation for Confirmation will be taught during religion class in school. No outside classtime required with the exception of mandatory Confirmation practice on January 29, 2025. Please still fill out the form below for the church's sacramental registry.

PSR Students Grades 6
Preparation for Confirmation will be taught during PSR Wednesday evenings for homeschool and public school students beginning September 4, 2024 in the Parish Education Center (school). Students will meet from 6:30-7:30 PM. Once the students have been Confirmed, they will continue with PSR classes through the end of their 8th grade year. Attendance is required for all class sessions.
Grades 7 and 8 not yet Confirmed
Students will also meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 PM beginning September 4, 2024 in the Parish Education Center (school).
