Upcoming Events:

1. Michael Becker, a fellow parishioner, has asked SOS to help serve lunch at Maize South for the Kansas Special Olympics on Saturday June 4th. Currently we have been asked to help buy and prepare sandwiches for lunch. Details to come soon in an email with a signup genius. He will be coming to talk at our May meeting to discuss what ways that we can get our young adults involved as well as ourselves.
2. Dessert for Dads – Will be Father’s Day weekend, June 19th.  We will be asking women in the parish to bring a favorite dessert to sell after weekend masses. We will need help with baking and selling desserts.
3. This fall SOS and Knights of Columbus are teaming up for the spaghetti feed and a fall raffle. Details are to come but we hope to make it a great event.
4. Fall Shopping trip being planned courtesy of Linda Schmidt. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with!!
5. December of 2023 will be our next Festival of Trees. If you have any interest, please email me what you would like to help with!!  

1.  Volunteer has to be virtuous trained. Training at St. Catherine on Monday, May 2nd at 6:30 PM.
2. The volunteer has to have filled out all the documentation from Harbor House.  I’ve attached the packet.

May Meeting!!!

I can’t believe that it has been one week since we celebrated Easter!! I continue to find candy wrappers hidden in places around my house!! This spring is really flying by, and summer will be here before we know it!! Speaking of spring, I wanted to remind you that our next meeting is right around the corner. We will have our last meeting until we break for summer on Monday, May 9^th at 7:00 PM. If you signed up to bring a salad, please don’t forget to drop it in the church kitchen by 6:00PM that Monday!! Green salad, fruit salad, potato salad…..we like them all!! Just bring your favorite!! We will be having a “shower” for the church kitchen to replace any broken or lacking cookware. We are registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond under Saint Catherine Siena or Katie Eck. Please let me know if you have any difficulty finding the registry. We will have two BIG drawings for this meeting. The first drawing will be just for showing up! The second drawing will be for helping stock our kitchen. You will be provided with one ticket for every item that you bring!! I promise the prizes are going to be great!!
