"The sacrament of Matrimony signifies the union of Christ and the Church. It gives spouses the grace to love each other with the love with which Christ has loved his Church; the grace of the sacrament thus perfects the human love of the spouses, strengthens their indissoluble unity, and sanctifies them on the way to eternal life
(cf. Council of Trent: DS 1799)."

After you have set your wedding date and you have met with the priest for the first time, you will begin planning different parts of the liturgy, one being the music. The music you choose for your wedding ceremony can add beauty to your celebration and help your family and friends to pray with you as you receive this sacrament. We will assist you with this process. Please contact Kim Stecklein to set up an appointment as soon as possible before your wedding date. Please also refer to the documents below which explain the guidelines for choosing appropriate music for a Catholic wedding and which also list many approved music selections.
