For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, (the baptized) are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed."
~ (CCC 1285)

What is the Sacrament of Confirmation?

The Sacrament of Confirmation builds on the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, and Holy Communion, completing the process of initiation into the Catholic community. During the Sacrament, the candidate receives the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit-Knowledge, Wisdom, Piety, Understanding, Counsel, Fear of the Lord and Fortitude. With these special gifts, the newly confirmed go forth as witnesses to the world. Middle school is the perfect time to prepare for and receive this sacrament, as these spiritual gifts will support the youth in these important years and for the rest of their lives.

Who may receive the Sacrament of Confirmation?

This year, at St. Catherine of Siena, 2025-2026, 6th grade, along with any not yet confirmed students in 7th and 8th grade will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. If in High School or older, please contact the parish office for more information.

When to Enroll?

Registration will be with PSR for public and homeschool children. St. Catherine School students are automatically enrolled.
